KN Design Open Air Art Reception

Socially safe pop-up reception featuring Hawaii’s top artists and creatives.

Mark your calendars and get your holiday wish lists polished! You are invited to a social safe pop-up art reception at KN Design Studio by Design Management in Kapolei. Just in time for holiday shopping, the reception will feature Hawaii’s top original artists, textiles with aloha, along with island inspired wood & metal iron-works. Everything will be available for sale.

There will be a large tent, plenty of fresh air and social distancing so pop in any time between 3 – 7pm.

Try your luck at beautiful raffle items donated by artists. All proceeds from the raffle will go towards Hawaii Community Foundations’ Stronger Together Fund, supporting high school seniors, who’s critical college planning time was cut short due to the pandemic. Eduardo is a renowned surfboard artist whose designs have graced the boards of world champions like Shaun Tomson, Martin Potter, and Sunny Garcia. Bolioli will be showcasing his vibrant prints at the reception and has generously donated his piece, Aloha Spray, for the raffle. ⁠

As a local boy from the island of Oahu, Tiger’s artwork is deeply rooted in his Hawaiian heritage. A welder by trade & a natural artist, Tiger started his art business over 15 years ago and named it Wela Ka Hao, Hawaiian Iron Works.⁠

Growing up in Hawaii, Kylee fell in love with the ocean. She started surfing when she was seven years old and never looked back. Surrounded by a family of artists, Kylee brought this passion to painting as she wanted to take her experiences out of the water and put them on canvas (and t-shirts).⁠

Tara is a nature loving, Hawaii raised and art obsessed animator, illustrator and designer. Tara loves drawing cute and captivating characters, vibrant colors, and heartwarming stories.⁠

Nadya Rego

Nadya moved to Hawaii in 2013, and is engaged in creativity on a daily basis. Nadya’s painting style, Contemporary Surrealistic Impressionism, places an emphasis on silhouettes. The effect is a shimmering, sometimes vibrating, set of energetic marks, defining an ethereal subject that melts and re-emerges from the surroundings.⁠

Joanna helps small businesses capture their brand, but she also takes family and event portraits. As part of her passion, she takes interest in landscape and macro photography. Joanna's intention is to bring the essence of what we love most about Hawaii into our most sacred spaces. The art of sublimation (printing on metal) has always intrigued Joanna because the colors are so vivid and lifelike.

Holly’s love for the ocean inspired her to create high gloss, fluid art that truly captivates the movement and depth of the ever changing water. Each piece is unique and cannot be replicated.⁠
