Beachy Resin Coasters
with Jan Scroggs
Have fun completing a set of four beautiful coasters with a Hawaii water and beach scene. You will learn the basics of working with resin and choosing and using color pigments to create a gift for yourself or that special someone.
The coasters when completed will be 4” square or round* and a ½” deep.
Resin requires 48 hrs to dry and cure. The coasters will remain at the studio in their molds until dry and then checked for any needed repair that will be completed by Jan. Coaster pickup is one week following the class, unless otherwise arranged.
If you have visited KN Design on a Saturday this year, you are likely to have met Jan. She is one of two volunteers that assist in keeping the store open several days a week. Jan is a resin artist that has created many pieces of art that can be seen in the studio. From the small, coasters and shell art, to large wall art of visions of the islands land and water. With a BFA degree from the University of Washington, Jan spent a career in the graphic design side of commercial art. For the last three years she has made resin her medium of choice and enjoys the freedom of expression it permits. She loves to share her interest with others through the workshops.
Adding additional coasters
There are a limited amount of round coaster molds. If you wish to work with round, please advise at time of sign up. It will be a first come, first serve arrangement to use them.
One additional set of coasters can be made by each participant for a separate cost of $40.
At least 48 hrs notice prior to workshop is required to add an extra set of coasters.

Cancellation Policy
When you sign up for a workshop, supplies are ordered right away. There are no cancellations or refunds, but you can reschedule! You can reschedule up to 7 days before the workshop is scheduled to begin. Please login to your account from your confirmation email to reschedule.
Within 7 days of a workshop, there is a 25% reschedule fee, as we may not be able to fill your empty seat. To reschedule within 7 days, please call Jan at (808) 561-4558.
If there is a no show, there is no refund.
